Job Description
The Lead Oracle Fusion CX Business Analyst will play a key role in a large-scale transformation from Salesforce and related point solutions to Oracle Fusion CX.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, functional consultants, integration teams, data teams, developers, and third-party vendors to understand business requirements, define future-state processes, document functional requirements, support solution design, and ensure successful implementation across the Oracle CX landscape.
The CX Business Analyst will provide end-to-end functional coordination across marketing, sales, quoting, contracts, subscriptions, customer service, customer master data, integrations, reporting, testing, migration, and business readiness.

Role Summary
The Lead Oracle Fusion CX Business Analyst will translate business and operational needs into clearly documented requirements and functional processes across the Oracle Fusion CX ecosystem.
The role will support business processes covering marketing, lead management, customer and account management, opportunities, quoting, contracts, warranties, subscriptions, customer service, claims, customer master data, portals, and integrations with ERP, SCM, planning, manufacturing, reporting, and identity platforms.
The Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, traceable, testable, and aligned with Oracle standard capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirements and Process Analysis
- Lead requirement-gathering and discovery workshops with business stakeholders, SMEs, functional consultants, and technical teams.
- Understand current-state Salesforce and legacy business processes and define future-state processes within Oracle Fusion CX.
- Document business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and decision logs.
- Perform fit-gap analysis between business requirements and Oracle standard functionality.
- Challenge unnecessary replication of Salesforce functionality and support adoption of Oracle standard capabilities wherever appropriate.
- Maintain requirement traceability from initial business requirements through solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Identify process gaps, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and business impacts and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
Oracle CX Functional Analysis
- Support Oracle Eloqua requirements covering lead capture, lead routing, scoring, journeys, segmentation, consent management, campaign tracking, and alignment with Oracle Sales.

- Define Enterprise Contracts requirements covering contract authoring, agreement hierarchies, amendments, commercial terms, obligations, NDAs, approvals, and audit requirements.
- Support Subscription Management and Oracle Service requirements covering warranties, service coverage, entitlements, installed assets, registrations, inquiries, complaints, claims, SLAs, queues, and knowledge management.
- Support CDM requirements covering customer and party data, duplicate management, customer hierarchies, stewardship, governance, and customer 360 requirements.
- Gather portal and self-service requirements including customer access, role-based visibility, contract information, shipment information, service requests, and financial inquiry.
Integration and Interface Requirements
- Work with integration architects and developers to document functional integration requirements between Oracle applications and external systems.
- Define source and target systems, required data fields, business rules, triggers, frequency, expected volumes, validation requirements, exceptions, and reconciliation requirements.
- Support integrations involving Eloqua, Sitecore, Oracle Sales, CPQ, Enterprise Contracts, Subscription Management, Service, Oracle ERP, SCM, Maestro or Kinaxis, MES, ModuleScan, SQL sources, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
- Review interface designs and validate that integrations meet business requirements and expected process outcomes.
- Support integration testing, defect analysis, reconciliation, and business validation.
Data Migration and Data Quality
- Support Salesforce and legacy-system migration activities including data discovery, profiling, cleansing, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Work with business SMEs and technical teams to define source-to-target mappings and transformation requirements.
- Validate customer, account, contact, opportunity, quote, contract, subscription, service, warranty, and related-object migration requirements.
- Ensure business relationships and dependencies across migrated objects are correctly maintained.
- Support migration rehearsal cycles, business validation, production cutover, and post-migration reconciliation.
- Assist in defining requirements for legacy read-only access and historical data retention.
Reporting and Analytics
- Gather and document operational reporting, dashboard, and KPI requirements.
- Work with business users to define required metrics, dimensions, filters, drill-downs, and reporting frequency.
- Coordinate requirements for Oracle embedded analytics and enterprise reporting using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Validate reports and dashboards against approved business requirements and source-system data.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Develop and review business test scenarios and functional test cases based on approved requirements.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and end-to-end business process testing.
- Coordinate with business users to ensure UAT scenarios reflect real operational processes.
- Support defect triage by analyzing business impact, expected functionality, and requirement alignment.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and final business acceptance.
- Support reconciliation and validation of integrations, reports, security roles, and migrated data.
Stakeholder and Delivery Management
- Act as the primary functional liaison between business stakeholders, Oracle consultants, solution architects, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate workshops, process walkthroughs, requirement-review sessions, design-validation meetings, and UAT sessions.
- Communicate requirements, decisions, risks, dependencies, and business impacts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support project planning, dependency management, RAID tracking, change requests, release planning, cutover activities, and hypercare.
- Coordinate with module leads across Sales, CPQ, Contracts, Subscription Management, Service, CDM, Eloqua, OIC, ERP, SCM, and reporting.
- Support end-user documentation, process guides, training materials, knowledge transfer, and business-readiness activities.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of Business Analysis, Functional Consulting, CRM, or enterprise application implementation experience.
- Strong experience working as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant on Oracle CX, Oracle Fusion, CRM, or related enterprise transformation projects.
- Experience participating in at least two full lifecycle cloud implementations covering discovery, requirements, design, configuration, testing, migration, UAT, cutover, and stabilization.
- Strong functional understanding of Oracle Sales and exposure to at least two or more of the following:
- Oracle CPQ
- Enterprise Contracts
- Subscription Management
- Oracle Service
- Customer Data Management (CDM)
- Oracle Eloqua
- Strong understanding of lead-to-opportunity, opportunity-to-quote, quote-to-order, contract management, subscription, warranty, entitlement, service-request, and claim processes.
- Experience conducting requirement-gathering workshops, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and functional-design reviews.
- Strong experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, and functional specifications.
- Experience working with integration teams and understanding REST/SOAP APIs, OIC integrations, batch and event-driven interfaces, error handling, and reconciliation.
- Experience supporting Salesforce-to-Oracle CRM migration or similar large-scale CRM data migration.
- Understanding of Oracle ERP and SCM touchpoints including customers, sites, products, pricing, orders, shipments, invoices, returns, and RMAs.
- Experience with role-based access, security requirements, SSO, data privacy, consent, and segregation of duties.
- Strong experience supporting SIT, UAT, defect triage, business validation, and production cutover.
- Excellent communication, documentation, workshop facilitation, presentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle certifications in Oracle Sales, Service, CPQ, Enterprise Contracts, Subscription Management, Integration Cloud, or related Oracle Fusion applications.
- Experience in manufacturing, renewable energy, high-value project sales, long-term supply agreements, delivery scheduling, warranty management, or serialized assets.
- Experience or exposure to Salesforce CRM migration projects.
- Exposure to Sitecore, Maestro or Kinaxis, MES, SharePoint, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Teams, and customer portal solutions.
- Understanding of AI-assisted enterprise capabilities including summarization, recommendations, prediction, and contract intelligence.
- Familiarity with Oracle Redwood UX and Oracle Visual Builder would be an advantage.
Success Measures
- Business requirements are complete, clearly documented, traceable, testable, and approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Future-state business processes are aligned with Oracle standard capabilities and unnecessary customization is minimized.
- Cross-module requirements across Sales, CPQ, Contracts, Subscription Management, Service, CDM, Eloqua, integration, reporting, and migration remain consistent.
- Integrations, migrated data, security roles, reports, and end-to-end processes successfully pass SIT and business-led UAT.
- Business stakeholders understand the future-state solution and are adequately prepared for production deployment.
- Production cutover, business validation, and hypercare are completed with controlled issue resolution and appropriate knowledge transfer.
Scope and Governance
The Business Analyst will help ensure that requirements remain within the approved project scope and that new requests follow appropriate change-control procedures.
The baseline scope excludes unnecessary like-for-like recreation of Salesforce functionality and excludes implementation or replacement of designated platforms such as Oracle Unity CDP, Oracle Field Service, Service Logistics, Oracle Quality Management, Maestro or Kinaxis, MES, Sitecore, SharePoint, ModuleScan, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and other established systems of record unless specifically approved through project governance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced Oracle CX Business Analyst who can work comfortably across business processes, Oracle application functionality, integrations, data, reporting, and delivery activities.
The candidate should be able to engage confidently with business stakeholders, understand complex operational requirements, convert them into structured functional requirements, challenge unnecessary customization, and coordinate effectively with architects, consultants, developers, testers, and business teams.
They should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple CX workstreams in a complex enterprise transformation environment.
